Looking back on my time as the dean of AE: 2007-2013 |
In 2007, I felt honoured to be asked to become the dean of Aerospace Engineering. The faculty has always been close to my heart and I was very pleased to get the chance to make my contribution to it. When I started, there was already an intention to thoroughly redesign our Bachelor’s curriculum. And this inevitably led to an adjustment of the Master’s programme as well.

Student Maurits on the Wall of Fame |
AE-student Maurits van Heijningen received a place on the Wall of fame of the Delft University of Technology. The Aerospace Engineering degree programme is anything but easy. So to be awarded this cum laude is quite an achievement. Certainly when you consider that Maurits did this alongside an active membership with DARE (a student association that focuses on building rockets), combined with the fact that he received his Bachelor's degree when he was seventeen. With a very promising future ahead of him, Maurits receives this well-deserved place on the Wall of Fame. |
